Bud Bernard

As many of you may know, our long time member and Captain of the Greeters at the Indio WMHA Rally passed away just before Christmas last year. Bud was a great friend to us all and was Alice’s one true Support System. His Celebration of Life has been postponed until May 16th, 2020 at the Elks Lodge 150 S. Shasta Willows, CA 95988

Thank you from Alice, Lynette, Denise and families

Chapter Spotlight

Please welcome the Diablo Ramblers — the latest chapter to join the Western Area.

They were originally formed in 1973 and like several of our other chapters were associated with another organization. They will be assigned to the Northern Region as most of their members live in the Northern and Central part of the state but do have members living throughout California and several in Nevada.

Their President Kent Vander Linden mentioned that their campouts are scheduled anywhere from Oroville, Lodi, Columbia to Napa. They also like to go places while at the campouts and do activities like sightseeing or visiting museums, etc. They don’t have outings during June, July and August but otherwise have a very full campout schedule.

Their Chapter profile and Campout Schedule is posted at the page here: https://wafmca.com/?page_id=2521

From all of us in the Western Area to all of the Diablo Ramblers…Welcome Aboard!

Welcome Camping Squares

Hello FMCA members! Camping Squares is a 51 year old camping club that is excited to expand their membership as a new FMCA Chapter. We want you to join us as we begin this new adventure, along with all the amenities and benefits FMCA membership provides. This is where you will make new friends, learn new activities, and share common interests. Each month from September to June, we meet in various locations in Southern California, usually on weekends. We have a monthly newsletter we send out to all members and guests prior to the outing. We enjoy local attractions, table and outdoor games, BBQs, shopping, and an occasional, casual short square dance. Our annual membership dues are $35.00 due in the fall of each year. We’d love for you to attend one of our rallies as a guest to see if you’d like to join our ranks. We are a friendly bunch looking for new members who enjoy “Glamping.” By the way, some of us have dogs! For a reservation contact: Lorna & Gary Fields, Membership, 714-357-1652,
