Welcome to our Western Motor Home Association of FMCA (Family Motor Coach Association) web site.

The Western Area encompasses the State of California with a few chapters in Nevada and Arizona. When you are a member of FMCA in good standing and live in California or are a member of a Western Area Chapter you are automatically a member of the Western Motor Home Association (WMHA).  Even though it says “Motor Home” in our association name we are welcoming all self-contained RVs to our membership and events.

The purpose of the Western Motor Home Association is to enhance the lines of communication among Western Area Chapters. Additionally, WMHA hosts area rallies, RV shows, and assists FMCA with the National Conventions that fall within the Western Area. The Western Area has its annual area rally in Indio, CA during the first part of January each year. This rally brings nearly a thousand RVs to gather at the Indio Fairgrounds and is the only area rally to have a themed parade of floats and entries by our Chapters.  Check out the History section for a gallery of past Presidents, Rally Themes, and Parade Grand Marshals.

FMCA does not require you to belong to a Chapter, however Chapter membership and participation will add significant opportunity for fun and fellowship while giving you the opportunity to use your motor home more frequently. If you do not belong to a chapter, check out all the Western Area Chapters listed on this website. Each chapter has their own rally schedule and special interests. Most all chapter rallies are open to any FMCA member whether you live in California or you are just traveling through.
